Charlie Marriner. Please take a look around..........

Charlie was known especially for his outstanding achievements as a successful cyclist in the late 1940's and early 1950's with the Southern Paragon Cycle Club.

This was before I was born, but in due course I came to understand more about his successes formerly with the Southern Paragon, and in his latter cycling years whilst he was a member of the Southampton based Sotonia Cycle Club.

Indeed for a short while, I also became a member of Sotonia CC, but alas - did not have my father's 'legs'.
